La Joya High School

On November 16th, 2022, the La Joya High School Class of 1966 donated a stone bench with their graduation year inscribed in it to LJHS’s outdoor planetarium. Mrs. De Luna alongside nine of her classmates came together and pitched in for the bench as a token of their gratitude towards their past teachers and staff of La Joya ISD.  They explained that by doing so it felt as though they were giving back to their beloved Alma Mater. A small dedication ceremony was held as classmates of ‘66 gathered and shared memories of their time at La Joya High. Now, all who wish to visit the atrium and its newly decorated garden can sit and enjoy the peaceful view on a bench of appreciation.
