📢 Region One Education Service Center has been awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Education to enhance mental health support in schools. This grant, titled the Region One Building Mental Health Leaders Project, aims to: • Increase access to mental health and social-emotional learning services for students. • Develop a strong workforce of qualified mental health professionals in our region. This grant serves seven school districts: Donna ISD, Hidalgo ISD, Lyford CISD, La Joya ISD, Brooks County ISD, Rio Grande City CISD, and Webb CISD, impacting over 53,100 students. In the second year of this project, we are seeking student input to ensure our efforts effectively address the mental health needs of students. Your child will be participating in a brief, anonymous survey that will help us better understand the mental health needs of students in our region. Your child's participation is voluntary, and all responses will be kept confidential. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this survey, please contact your child's school counselor or the campus principal. ----------📢 El Centro de Servicios Educativos de la Región Uno ha recibido una subvención del Departamento de Educación de los Estados Unidos para mejorar el apoyo a la salud mental en las escuelas.
