La Joya ISD was honored to welcome renowned journalist Maria Antonieta Collins as she reunited with Lorenzo De Zavala Middle School teacher Jose Navarro - one of the students featured in a story she covered 34 years ago when he was just a second grader. 📚🌟

Now, years later, Collins returned to highlight the inspiring journeys of those students and the lives they’ve built since that original story aired. For Mr. Navarro, that journey led him back to the classroom - now inspiring and shaping the next generation of students at La Joya ISD. 👏🍎💎
